Alison Fowler and Stephanie Pringle are Australia’s most promising Casting Directors, known for their approachable manner in breaking down the barriers between CDs and actors. With almost 20 years of experience between them in the Advertising & Casting industries, thousands of projects under their belts (spanning across film, tv & advertising) and a 2018 B&T 30 under 30 Award recognising their achievements as young chicks in the Advertising & Comms industry.

They are bringing their No Bullsh*t Audition Workshop to Brisbane - with a focus on self taping!

“We’ve had so many actors booking jobs from self tapes interstate,” Steph said. “When the self tapes are good but when they’re bad, it’s such a missed opportunity.”

They now bring you a four hour Audition Workshop intensive and deep dive into the following:

  • The Audition Process (the CnC way)

  • Breaking down Audition Scenes and audition preparation

  • Audition Tips and Tricks

  • Workshopping and filming a scene (via means of a mock audition) - footage is yours to keep

  • A focus on self taping - how to make your self tape stand out, the technical tips you need to know, real life examples of great self tapes.

  • The No Bullsh*t behind the scenes intel into casting and our audition room

Chicken and Chips are renowned for their nurturing casting environment and collaborative approach with actors. In this course, you will experience first hand how we operate and workshop an audition with actors providing valuable feedback and tools for all your upcoming auditions + the self taping process, the do’s, don’t’s and all the no bull stuff in between.

You will be supplied with a script prior to the workshop, which will be workshopped and recorded for you to take home - remember to bring an SD card!

Please note, this course is for years 18+ only.

What Actors Are Saying:

“I really learnt to just trust myself, let go and commit, for me that’s a big thing and even in this short amount of time it’s made such an impact on me. I haven’t had too many opportunities to get into the room with casting directors so when it came to the last night and we filmed our scenes as if an actual audition I wasn’t too sure of my choices but Alison kindly but directly told me “No commit, you got this” and that’s just what I needed to hear, someone to not cookie cut anything and to feel like someone so educated in this industry believing in you and wanting you to do well means so much.”
-Jodie; Actor, Sydney

Dislcaimer: The intent of the workshop is solely educational and should not be considered a job interview or audition. Attending workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor.
